03 / METHOD

  1. Concentration (mg/mL) = peptide mass (mg) ÷ bacteriostatic-water volume (mL).
  2. Volume per dose (mL) = target dose (mcg) ÷ concentration (mcg/mL).
  3. Insulin units (IU) = volume per dose (mL) × 100. U-100 syringe convention.
  4. Doses per vial = (vial mass × 1000) ÷ target dose.
